About Us
Watu Moja Lee Academy is a community based private primary school, based in Kibera, offering quality and standard primary education to the less fortunate children in the informal settlement. It was founded in the year 2012 and formally registered in 2015 by Yakub Jaffar Musa, Madam Lee and other open-minded community volunteers working with different organizations, with aim of localizing implementation of sustainable development goal number 4 that is quality and providing affordable education by subsidizing fee to those who can’t afford to pay.

Yakub Jaffar Musa is the founder of the Watu Moja Lee Academy.
He noticed many years ago that the children growing up in Kibra face many challenges.
He has made it his life's work to provide a supportive environment for the children to encourage their potential and thus create opportunities for them.
Our Programme
As a primary learning institution, we advice various front hence providing some of the best children engagement activities in normal class programme and extra-curriculum activities.
E-Learing Programme
Watu Moja Lee Academy is the only primary level school in Kibera slums providing the digital learning to the children in partnership with WeLearn international - hence providing the world standard digital learning to the less fortunate children in the informal settlement.

We strongly believe that prosperity should not only be pegged on class work but also other activities like sports and arts, hence we have music programe, drama, football, and other field activities.
